Total Process Reliability
Total Process Reliability is a system based on equipment maintenance. We would rather be proactive than reactive regarding equipment repairs. Reliability is accomplished through planning and scheduling as well as pre inspections prior to normal maintenance (oil and filter changes.)
We determine ahead of time if major repairs are needed so that preventative maintenance and proactive correction can be done at the same time saving a considerable amount of time.
Predicting when a major machine will be removed for repairs allows our production team to schedule maintenance ahead of time to eliminate slow down in production. Eliminating a surprise breakdown saves time, money and maintains a smooth schedule.
Using TPR, our company has dramatically decreased emergency repairs tracking to approximately 3-4 percent. Our fleet maintenance cost as a percentage of revenue has dropped reducing equipment rates.
